The Kiwi Kitchen is owned by Pan and Neil who hail from Laos and New Zealand respectively. With decades of experience running guesthouses and restaurants in Vang Vieng, customers can expect quality ingredients and very tasty food.
Unlike some restaurants in town where the menu is overly long, Kiwi Kitchen has managed to straddle the line between a relatively compact menu while still giving a comprehensive choice. Breakfast, snacks, main meals, and desserts are all here. As are fresh smoothies, a range of teas and coffee, and of course soft drinks and Beerlao.
But, the most notable special is probably the weekend traditional roast dinner. Only available on Saturday and Sunday, the options for the roast are New Zealand lamb, chicken, pork, or nut loaf.
You can use Google Maps to locate Kiwi Kitchen easily. Head to the old toll bridge (now free) at the south of town. Cross this main bridge followed by a rather rickety smaller bridge after and you will see Kiwi Kitchen on your left.
Kiwi Kitchen is open from 7.30am to 9pm at night and 7 days a week normally. During low season Kiwi Kitchen is open from 7.30am to 4pm and closed Monday.
